I am not an archive admin or particularly "techy", but am on Comcast on the west coast and am having no issues.
It is possible you may be having issues if you are running Windows XP. As I understand it, when Microsoft stopped supporting it, issues developed that are not the Archive's fault. If you are seeing security certificate warnings, that's probably the problem.
Other than that, I do not have much to offer you on your issue.

This issue seems to have worked itself out. I had spoken with several friends earlier today on Comcast who were having issues.
